New Mexico

Sorry that this has taken so long . . . However, here is New Mexico!
Wes and I traveled from PA to New Mexico to visit Wes's family in Albuquerque, hike around Tent Rocks, the Jemez Mountains, White Sands, visit with his family in Silver City, and to play with Levi (Wes's Mom's dog). We had a fantastic time, and were able to see some incredible places. Above is a photo of Tent Rocks National Monument as you enter the park.

Randi at Tent Rocks.
View of the famous Tent Rocks.
An incredible limb of a tree where the bark has left a beautiful mark.

Wes, Bob, and myself took a trip on the longest tram in the world (which is about 10 minutes from Judy and Bob's house). Unfortunately it was cloudy, however, it was still a gorgeous ride and absolutely freezing!

Wes and Bob.
It was 6 degrees at the beginning of the crest!
Here is a photo of Wes at Soda Dam. Soda Dam is located in the Jemez.
At the bottom you are in the desert, and within a 20 minute drive you are in 3 feet of snow.
We soaked in the Hot Springs, which was one of the most perfect things I have ever done. I highly recommend it.

We drove down the White Sands where we hiked around and spent most of the day jumping off of sand dunes. This is also one of the most perfect things I have ever done. I couldn't stop smiling (which resulted in a lot of sand in my mouth).

My hero.
And of course . . . we couldn't leave without a photo of Wes and Levi . . .

Next post will be about our time in Las Vegas and California! (Then we will finally get around to telling you about Taiwan so far!!!)
