Election Day and Taipei 101

March 22nd was Election Day here in Taiwan. While the Taiwanese people elected a new president, Wes and I meandered around Taipei 101. It was cloudy, so we decided not to go up to the observation gallery, but we still enjoyed gazing at the tallest building in the world.

We had to walk 4 blocks away to fit the entire building in a photograph.

Not quite as fantastic as the water show at the Bellagio, but it'll do . . .

If you can't go up into the observation gallery on a cloudy day, you have to improvise.

Apparently, Taipei has some Philly love . . . almost like home.

So, the Taiwanese elected a new President. Unfortunately, it was not whom we had hoped would win (the conservative party won, boo!), but they have a new President nonetheless.

Wes and I still love you Taiwan!
