Holidays

I know that it's March, but MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

While it was difficult for me to not be with my family on Christmas this year, it was really wonderful for Wes and I to spend Christmas together for the first time. We received wonderful gifts from our families and we did indeed wait until Christmas morning to open all of our gifts.

We spent the beginning of the New Year on our rooftop with our awesome friends and neighbors. It was actually quite beautiful because we have a great view of Taipei 101, so we could see the fireworks that actually shoot off of the building. This added to the spectacle of fireworks going off all around us from neighboring rooftops. It was incredible.

Then it was on to February and lantern festival . . . the lantern festival marked the one year anniversary of Wes and I arriving in Taiwan.

Here is Linya.

SYS Memorial Hall.

And the three creepiest lanterns I saw.

It has been a crazy year . . . we've both learned so much and are so blessed to have had this experience. Saying this, we are both really excited to return home in 4 months.
